The Devil hates women. He always has.

Because of this animosity, It has become his mission in this world to destroy every good and beautiful thing about women God has created. He does this in many ways, and one of those ways is by stealing the very humanity God breathed into them.

Objectifying women is an epidemic in our world perpetuated by the Devil himself. If you don’t believe me just turn on the TV to pretty much any channel, and you will see women on display for anyone who wants to consume their flesh with their eyes. As Christian men, we must stand against this objectification and instead protect the purity and humanity of women.

Women are no longer the beautiful complex creatures that God made them to be, at least not in the eyes of our culture. We all have allowed our hearts and minds to turn women into objects for our pleasure or entertainment.

Objectifying women doesn’t just happen in new stands or on tv or on computers, it can happen right in the privacy of our homes.

SO, WHAT ABOUT YOU?

DO YOU OBJECTIFY YOUR WIFE?

DOES YOUR WIFE EVER FEEL LIKE AN OBJECT?

Do you ever come home from a long day and neglect to make a real connection with your wife an expect to be satisfied sexually by her?
Do you walk passed her and only have short conversations about nothing?
If we neglect to engage with our wives on a deep emotional level and then demand sex from them, we have made our brides into nothing more than a tool to be used. They become an object and not a person.

Women are not objects. Your wife is not an object!

Your wife is made in the likeness of God and she has been given the same breath and spirit as you have been given.

If Objectification is the pattern of this world then, we need to do everything in our power to break it. Starting in our own marriages.

do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

Husbands, let’s allow God to transform us by the renewing of our minds. We need to evaluate our hearts and allow God to show us where we have contributed to this pattern in our own relationships with our wives.

Would you make this commitment with me?

I commit to never treat my wife like an object, but rather I will walk beside her as the beautiful creation God has made her to be. She is my lover, my helper and my friend.
